Become a Pilates Reformer Instructor

About the teacher

Hi! I’m Maren, the founder of InFlowMotion. I created this space out of a love for movement, people and training that actually makes sense.

After almost 9 years teaching reformer Pilates and years working closely with studio operations and instructor education, I’m now opening my own studio in Nordvest and I’ll be teaching and mentoring you throughout this teacher training.

I’m originally from Berlin and have called Copenhagen home for 12+ years. I completed my postdoc in cardiovascular research in December 2025 and I’m currently finishing a degree in Sport Science, because I’m genuinely curious about how the body works and how we can train it better. That background shapes how I teach: evidence-based, practical and always respectful of the body in front of you.

About the teacher training

Our 100-hour teacher training is built for instructors who want to teach with clarity, confidence and integrity. We focus on evidence- and science-based teaching, so you understand the why behind the work, not just the choreography.

You’ll get 1:1 feedback, plenty of time to practice teaching, and a supportive environment where you can refine your cueing, coaching and class design.

Alongside the practical side of teaching, we cover the foundations that matter: anatomy and physiology, programming principles, cueing and how to work with a wider range of bodies, including an introduction to injury & rehab and considerations for pre/postnatal clients.

Expect a training that’s hands-on, thoughtful and practical, with tools you’ll keep using long after the course ends.

The course will be taught in a small group of max 10 participants. The teaching and teaching materials will be in English, but you will be able to practice in Danish.

Practical information

Are there any pre-requisites?

You need to have experience practising on the Reformer before joining the training. We do not require a specific number of classes, as experience can look different from person to person, but you should feel familiar with the machine, basic Reformer exercises and moving in a class setting.

A background in movement, sport, dance, gymnastics, yoga or fitness can be helpful, but it is not required.

Do I need anatomy knowledge before joining?

No. Anatomy, physiology and biomechanics are part of the course.

You will learn how to understand movement through an evidence-based lens, adapt exercises to different bodies and goals and make informed teaching choices around load, range, tempo, support and progression.

How are participants evaluated?

There will be a final practical exam at the end of the training.

For the exam, you will teach a group class and demonstrate that you can plan, program and deliver a safe, clear and well-structured Reformer Pilates class.

Throughout the course, you will also receive individual feedback and have opportunities to practise teaching before the final assessment.

Will I receive a certificate?

Yes. Upon successful completion of the training, including attendance requirements, practice teaching and the final practical exam, you will receive a certificate of completion.

Please note that completing the teacher training does not guarantee employment or an instructor position at our studio.

Can I take classes during the training?

Yes. During the teacher training period, you will receive a membership with 12 sessions per month at the studio.

Taking classes throughout the training is strongly encouraged, and there will also be opportunities to observe classes.

Testimonials

Antonina K.

I had the pleasure of doing my teacher training with Maren, and it was a great experience. It’s so clear that reformer is her passion. She brings amazing motivating energy and always comes up with creative, engaging flows that make learning feel natural, fun and exciting.

She explains everything clearly and thoughtfully, combining strong expertise with a great sense of humor, which creates a relaxed and supportive environment. I especially appreciated how she balanced the practical side with theory. She was always bringing evidence, data and well-grounded explanations.

Beyond the teaching itself, she created such a warm and welcoming atmosphere that many of us built genuine connections and friendships during the training. I’m really grateful to have learned from her and to have been part of that experience.

I highly recommend Maren’s teacher training program to anyone who wants to become a confident and knowledgeable instructor.

The training goes deep into technique, cueing, anatomy and real teaching skills, leaving you fully prepared to step into the role of a professional teacher with confidence.

What truly stands out is Maren’s dedication and the supportive learning environment she creates. She challenges you to grow while always making you feel encouraged, capable and supported.

If you’re serious about becoming a skilled and confident instructor, this training is a fantastic investment. It was truly one of the best decisions I’ve made.

I can wholeheartedly recommend taking your education with Maren. She’s incredibly knowledgeable and has the ability to build a strong, solid foundation in her teachers.

She creates a safe learning environment where you feel supported and encouraged, while also challenging you to think independently and develop your own voice as an instructor.

Her feedback is constructive, thoughtful and always delivered with the intention of helping you grow. I have felt both guided and empowered through my development, and I’ve gained not only technical skills but also confidence in my own teaching style.

I completed the Pilates Reformer teacher training with Maren in autumn 2024 and it was a truly positive and empowering experience. I joined the course with a love for Reformer Pilates but without feeling like an expert. Being the oldest student in the group, I initially had doubts and felt a bit intimidated.

Maren created a safe and supportive learning environment from the very beginning, where questions and uncertainties were always welcome. Her encouraging teaching style helped me gradually build both my skills and my confidence throughout the training.

I felt supported every step of the way, and by the end of the course I felt much more confident in myself as an instructor. I would warmly recommend Maren to anyone looking for professional, inspiring and supportive Reformer teacher training!
